Use the information below to configure the mail client of your choice to send and receive email for the different email accounts you have created. Replace the text in italics with your specific account/email information. Refer to the notes on the right for further guidance.

 
Field Corresponding Entry
Email/Reply to address: sample@hfchesperia.org (or .edu, .org, etc.)
(sample = the specific address at your domain name)
 
Incoming (POP3) mail server: mail.hfchesperia.org (or .edu, .org, etc.)
(If you would like to access your mail via an IMAP client, you will need to use imap.mydomain as the IMAP server)
 
User/Account name: sample@hfchesperia.org (or .edu, .org, etc.)
(If you are using a mail client, such as Netscape, that does not allow you to use the "@" symbol in the User/Account name field, you may substitute the "@" in your address with the "_" character. For example: username_mydomain)
Password: password
(password = the password you chose for that email address)
Outgoing (SMTP) mail server: mail.hfchesperia.org

  Changing Mail Settings for Microsoft Outlook Express 5.x, 6.x
 
  1. Click on "Tools" then "Accounts".
  2. Click on the "Account" which is hosted by.
  3. Click on the "Properties" button.

    Or

    Double Click on the Account.




     
  4. Click on the Tab labeled "Servers".




     
  5. Modify the "Incoming mail (POP3):" field to read: mail.hfchesperia.org
  6. Modify the "Outgoing mail (SMTP):" field to the outgoing mail server of your ISP (for example: main.cox.net or smtp.bellsouth.net) or if your ISP does not provide an outgoing mail server, you may use mail.hfchesperia.org
